Author Guidelines

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official templates: Microsoft Word template and LaTeX / Overleaf template.

Manuscript structure

  1. Title - concise and informative.
  2. Authors - full names, affiliations (institution, city, country) and ORCID for every author. Indicate the corresponding author and e-mail.
  3. Abstract - 150-250 words, structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions).
  4. Keywords - 4-8 terms.
  5. Main text - Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.
  6. Funding, Acknowledgements, Conflict of Interest, Author Contributions.
  7. References - see reference style below.

Formatting

A4 page, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, continuous line numbering. Figures and tables must be numbered and cited in the text. English metadata (title, abstract, keywords, references) is mandatory for all articles regardless of the language of the body.

Reference style

Use a consistent international style (e.g. APA 7th or Vancouver). Provide DOIs for all references where available. A minimum share of references should be from international peer-reviewed sources indexed in Scopus/Web of Science.

Ethics

By submitting, authors confirm the work is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and complies with the Journal's Publication Ethics policy (COPE). Research involving humans or animals must state ethical approval.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
