Manuscript types
Research articles — original findings.
Reviews — synthesis of existing literature.
Taxonomic notes — Central Asian systematics or nomenclature.
Language and format
Manuscripts must be in English (US spelling), double-spaced, with numbered pages and continuous line numbering; MS Word is preferred. Authors are responsible for language quality before submission.
Structure
Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions (optional), Acknowledgements, References. The abstract states the principal goals, methods, results and conclusions; provide up to six keywords, listed alphabetically. Every author must be listed with affiliation and ORCID; indicate the corresponding author and e-mail.
Citations and references
Cite references in the text by name and year in parentheses, arranged by year (e.g. Ivanov 1991; Smith et al. 1995a, b). The reference list is alphabetised by author surname, then chronologically, following the PDCA reference (EndNote) style for journal articles, books, chapters, dissertations and online documents. Provide DOIs where available.
Taxonomic and data requirements
Taxonomic papers must cite herbarium vouchers deposited in public repositories. Authors are encouraged to deposit supporting data in an appropriate public repository. Supporting information should be supplied with descriptive captions.
Ethics and licensing
Submissions are screened for plagiarism. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) licence.
